Gears of War is a hugely successful franchise. It’s what the kids call [[link]] a “juggernaut.” But don’t expect this juggernaut to fade like the summer sun. Oh no.
Gears of War 2 writer Joshua Ortega dished during a recent New York Comic-Con Gears panel: “You will not be disappointed in the next ten years…It’s a ten-year plan. Gears is long-term. The lancer is the new lightsaber.”
As game site VideoGamer points out, a decade of Gears of War would take us to 2016. Think about it. Saber rattling aside, that doesn’t seem out of the question, and [[link]] if other successful game franchises are anything to go by, don’t be surprised if we get two decades of Gears. Now, think about that!
